Timberland X Hilfiger

The Two Brands

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.

Drop 1

the design concept was inspired by a scrapbook aesthetic. I manipulated a collection of images to incorporate stitched edges, raw tears, and ripped effects, creating a tactile, handcrafted feel.

For Drop 1 of the Tommy Hilfiger and Timberland collaboration, I took a hands-on approach to image manipulation to evoke the feeling of a tangible scrapbook. I carefully selected and edited a variety of images, blending them with elements like stitched edges, raw tears, and ripped effects. These details were designed to give the impression that the images were physically affixed to a page, creating a warm, nostalgic, and handcrafted feel.

Drop 2

The theme shifted to a futuristic, space-age vibe. I edited another set of images to feature scan lines, chromatic aberrations, and layered effects, giving them a dynamic and high-tech appearance. This collection was also showcased on a parallax website, but with added interactive elements such as carousels and videos, allowing users to engage with the products in various innovative ways.

Drop 2 took a sharp turn in theme, opting for a futuristic, space-age aesthetic. The focus here was on technology, with scan lines, chromatic aberrations, and layered visuals creating a high-tech, digital atmosphere. This collection was presented in a similarly interactive way, featuring parallax scrolling, carousels, videos, and detailed product views. The futuristic feel was intended to highlight Timberland's rugged durability paired with Tommy Hilfiger's classic style, but through a modern, forward-looking lens.

The design project for the Tommy Hilfiger and Timberland collaboration was a huge success, with both collections selling out completely. The distinct visual storytelling— from the handcrafted, nostalgic scrapbook aesthetic of Drop 1 to the futuristic, high-tech feel of Drop 2— resonated with the audience and created a strong emotional connection with the brand. The interactive parallax websites not only showcased the collections in a visually engaging way but also elevated the overall shopping experience. This project was a testament to the power of thoughtful design in driving engagement and sales, solidifying the collaboration as a standout moment for both brands.
